Deakin Commerce Students’ Society Sponsorship In 2019

Barwon Financial Planning is pleased to once again support the Deakin Commerce Students’ Society (DCSS) in 2019.

The DCSS is a student-run body which creates a valuable link between faculty staff, students, and employers.

Barwon Financial Planning has been a bronze sponsor for several years, reflecting our interest in supporting and promoting careers in Commerce.

Director Damian Christou and Financial Planner Chanthy Oeur are both graduates of Deakin University, each studying a Bachelor of Commerce. As past graduates, they have a close connection with the courses and some of the faculty staff in the local Geelong community.

Barwon Financial Planning’s Contribution To DCSS

Networking with like-minded students and prospective employers is a key feature of DCSS, and Barwon Financial Planning is passionately supportive of its benefits.

Damian attends career and information events throughout the year and participates on the DSCC career events panel.

“As a past student I understand the difficulties that come with thinking about career paths, so we try and provide students with the appropriate information to make the whole process much easier”, says Damian.

“We like to give back and help the students and alumni as much as we can.
